Impact of Live Nation merger on live music ecosystems

Are you a musician, live music fan, independent music promoter, or a venue who had experience with Live Nation you want to talk about? I would like to hear your story!

I am a doctoral researcher from York University (Canada).

In 2022/23, I conducted a research study on the post-pandemic state of independent Canadian live music. I interviewed promoters, touring musicians, and audiences and presented my findings on International Popular Music Studies Conference (IASPM) in Minneapolis.

Some of the findings I unearthed in the interviews and surveys evolved into researching and analyzing the ongoing impact of Live Nation / Ticketmaster merger on live music cultures. I am looking for stories from music promoters, venues, and touring artists on Live Nation rosters who would like to share their experiences.
